Shattering (Al-Infitaar)
In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful
۞ When the sky breaks apart 1 And when the stars shall be scattered, 2 When the seas are poured forth, 3 When the graves are overturned, 4 Each soul will know what it had sent ahead and what it had left behind. 5 O man, what seduced you from your munificent Lord 6 who created thee and shaped thee and wrought thee in symmetry 7 In whatever shape He will He could surely have fashioned you. 8 Not at all – but rather you deny the establishment of Justice. 9 Surely, there are guardians watching over you, 10 Honorable recorders, 11 They know all that you do. 12 Indeed the virtuous are in serenity. 13 And indeed the sinners are in hell. 14 Roasted they shall be therein on the Day of Requital. 15 And will not be removed from it. 16 They will never be able to escape from it. Would that you knew what the Day of Judgment is! 17 Again, what do you know what the Day of Recompense is? 18 It is the Day when no soul can do a thing for another soul. That Day, the command belongs to Allah. 19
