Shattering (Al-Infitaar)
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful
۞ When the sky breaks apart 1 And when the stars shall be scattered, 2 when the oceans are gushed forth, 3 and the graves are turned inside out, 4 Every soul shall know what it has sent before and held back. 5 O man! What hath made thee careless concerning thy Lord, the Bountiful, 6 who created you, fashioned you and proportioned you, 7 In whatever Form He wills, does He put thee together. 8 Nay! But ye do reject Right and Judgment! 9 And indeed there are some guardians over you. 10 noble, recording, 11 They know whatsoever ye do. 12 Surely the virtuous shall be in Bliss, 13 and the libertines shall be in a fiery furnace 14 which they shall enter on the Day of Judgement, 15 And they will not be able to keep away therefrom. 16 How can you comprehend what the Day of Judgement is? 17 Again, what shall make thee know whatsoever the Day of Requital is? 18 (It will be) the Day when no soul shall have power (to do) aught for another: For the command, that Day, will be (wholly) with Allah. 19
