Shattering (Al-Infitaar)

19 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat) before The Splitting (Al-Inshiqaaq)

In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful

۞ When the sky is cleft asunder; 1 when the stars are scattered, 2 And when the seas are made to flow forth, 3 when the tombs are overthrown, 4 then everyone will know what he has sent ahead, and what he has left behind. 5 O man! What has deceived you away from your Lord, the Most Beneficent? 6 The One Who created you, then moulded you, then made you proper? 7 Into whatever form He pleased He constituted you. 8 Nay! but you give the lie to the judgment day, 9 And indeed there are some guardians over you. 10 Kind and honourable,- Writing down (your deeds): 11 They know what you do. 12 Indeed, the righteous will be in pleasure, 13 The wicked certainly in Hell: 14 They will [enter to] burn therein on the Day of Recompense, 15 to burn therein. 16 What could let you know what the Day of Recompense is! 17 Again, what will make you know what the Day of Recompense is? 18 A day on which no soul hath power at all for any (other) soul. The (absolute) command on that day is Allah's. 19

True are the words of God the Almighty.
