Shattering (Al-Infitaar)
19 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat) before The Splitting (Al-Inshiqaaq)
In the name of Allah, the Merciful, the Compassionate
۞ When the sky breaks apart 1 and when the stars are scattered, 2 and when the seas burst beyond their bounds, 3 when the tombs are overthrown, 4 A soul will [then] know what it has put forth and kept back. 5 Human being, what evil has deceived you about your Gracious Lord, 6 Who created thee, then fashioned, then proportioned thee? 7 Shaping you into any form He pleased? 8 No indeed; but you cry lies to the Doom; 9 but you should know that there are angelic guards 10 Kiraman (honourable) Katibin writing down (your deeds). 11 who know all that you do: 12 the virtuous will dwell in bliss, 13 and the evil-doers will be in hell 14 Roasted they shall be therein on the Day of Requital. 15 And will not be removed from it. 16 And what will explain to thee what the Day of Judgment is? 17 Again, what will make you realize what the day of judgment is? 18 It is the Day when no one shall have the power to do anything for another, and all command shall be Allah's. 19
Almighty Allah's Truth.
