Shattering (Al-Infitaar)
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful
۞ When the heavens are rent asunder, 1 When the planets are dispersed, 2 when the seas are made to burst forth, 3 And when the graves are overturned. 4 the soul shall know what it has done, the former and the latter. 5 O man! What has made you careless concerning your Lord, the Most Generous? 6 Who created thee, then fashioned, then proportioned thee? 7 in whatever form He pleased? 8 No indeed; (the fact is that) you deny the Reckoning, declaring it a lie; 9 And indeed there are some guardians over you. 10 watching over you 11 Knowing all what you may do. 12 Surely the virtuous shall be in Bliss, 13 And lo! the wicked verily will be in hell; 14 which they shall enter on the Day of Judgement, 15 And they will not be able to keep away therefrom. 16 And what will make you know what the Day of Recompense is? 17 Again: what will make you realize what the Day of Judgement will be? 18 (It will be) the Day when no soul shall have power (to do) aught for another: For the command, that Day, will be (wholly) with Allah. 19
