Shattering (Al-Infitaar)
19 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat) before The Splitting (Al-Inshiqaaq)
In the name of Allah, most benevolent, ever-merciful
۞ When the heavens are rent asunder, 1 And when the stars shall be scattered, 2 And when the seas are burst forth (got dried up); 3 And when the Graves are turned upside down;- 4 Each soul shall know that which it sent afore and that which it left behind. 5 O man! What has made you careless concerning your Lord, the Most Generous? 6 Who created you, proportioned you, and balanced you? 7 and set you in whatever form He pleased? 8 Nay! but you give the lie to the judgment day, 9 But verily over you (are appointed angels) to protect you,- 10 noble scribes, 11 They know what you do. 12 Indeed the virtuous are in serenity. 13 whereas the wicked will be in Hell; 14 They will burn therein on the Day of Judgment, 15 And will not be absent thence. 16 How can you comprehend what the Day of Judgement is? 17 How then can you comprehend what the Day of Judgement is? 18 It is the day when no soul will have power to do the least for a soul, and God's alone will be done. 19
Allah Almighty has spoken the truth.
