Shattering (Al-Infitaar)
19 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat) before The Splitting (Al-Inshiqaaq)
In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful
۞ When the heavens are rent asunder, 1 When the planets are dispersed, 2 when the oceans are gushed forth, 3 and the graves are turned inside out, 4 Each soul shall know that which it sent afore and that which it left behind. 5 O MAN! What is it that lures thee away from thy bountiful Sustainer, 6 Who created thee, then moulded thee, then proportioned thee? 7 He moulded you into whatever shape He willed. 8 Not at all but rather you deny the establishment of Justice. 9 Yet over you there are watchers, 10 Kind and honourable,- Writing down (your deeds): 11 They know what you do. 12 Indeed the virtuous are in serenity. 13 And indeed the sinners are in hell. 14 which they shall enter on the Day of Judgement, 15 nor shall they ever be absent from it. 16 And what will make you realize what the day of judgment is? 17 Again, what do you know what the Day of Recompense is? 18 (It will be) the Day when no person shall have power (to do) anything for another, and the Decision, that Day, will be (wholly) with Allah. 19
Allah the Almighty always says the truth.
