Al-Infitaar
Shattering (Al-Infitaar)
19 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat) before The Splitting (Al-Inshiqaaq)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
۞ When the heaven becomes cleft asunder, 1 when the stars are scattered, 2 And when the seas are burst forth (got dried up); 3 And when the graves are overturned. 4 (Then) a person will know what he has sent forward and (what he has) left behind (of good or bad deeds). 5 O mankind, what has deceived you concerning your Lord, the Generous, 6 who created you, formed you and proportioned you? 7 and set you in whatever form He pleased? 8 Even then you deny the Judgement. 9 And most surely there are keepers over you 10 watching over you 11 They know (and understand) all that ye do. 12 Indeed, the righteous shall (live) in bliss. 13 And indeed, the wicked will be in Hellfire. 14 roasting therein on the Day of Doom, 15 And they will not be able to keep away therefrom. 16 What will make you realize what the Day of Judgement will be? 17 Again, what shall teach thee what is the Day of Doom? 18 The day on which no soul shall control anything for (another) soul; and the command on that day shall be entirely Allah's. 19
