۞ When the sky is rent asunder, 1 and hearkens to the command of its Lord, doing what it should; 2 And when the earth shall be stretched forth. 3 And throws out whatever it contains and is empty, 4 And it listens to the command of its Lord – and that befits it. 5 O human, you are working hard towards your Lord and you will meet Him. 6 he who is given his record in his right hand 7 shall have an easy reckoning 8 And will return to his family in joy! 9 But as for those whose Book of records will be given behind their backs, 10 He will cry out for destruction 11 And will go into the blazing fire. 12 Verily he was among his people joyous. 13 and had thought that they would never be brought back to life again. 14 Yea! surely his Lord does ever see him. 15 So I swear by the afterglow of sunset; 16 and the night and what it envelops 17 and the moon when it grows full, 18 You shall certainly travel from stage to stage (in this life and in the Hereafter). 19 Then what ails them, that they believe not, 20 and when the Koran is recited to them that they do not prostrate! ۩ 21 But on the contrary the Unbelievers reject (it). 22 And Allah knows best what they gather (of good and bad deeds), 23 So announce to them a painful punishment~ 24 Except those who believed and did good deeds – for them is a reward that will never end. 25
