The Galaxies (Al-Burooj)
In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful
CONSIDER the sky full of great constellations, 1 and by the promised Day, 2 by the witness and the witnessed, 3 the people of the pit were destroyed 4 Fire supplied (abundantly) with fuel, 5 As they sat around it 6 And to that which they did to the believers were witnesses. 7 And they did not take vengeance on them for aught except that they believed in Allah, the Mighty, the Praised, 8 to Whom belongs the dominion of the heavens and the earth. Allah witnesses everything. 9 Lo! they who persecute believing men and believing women and repent not, theirs verily will be the doom of hell, and theirs the doom of burning. 10 (But) for those who believe and do good works, for them there are Gardens underneath which rivers flow that is the Great Victory! 11 Indeed, the vengeance of your Lord is severe. 12 Verily He! He it is who beginneth and repeateth it. 13 He is the forgiving and the loving, 14 Master of the Honourable Throne. 15 a sovereign doer of whatever He wills. 16 Has not there come to you the story of the hosts, 17 Of Pharaoh and (the tribe of) Thamud? 18 Yet the infidels persist in denial. 19 But God surrounds them from all sides. 20 Nay! This is a Glorious Quran, 21 in a Guarded Tablet. 22
