The Galaxies (Al-Burooj)
In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate
By the heaven adorned with big stars. 1 And the promised day, 2 By one that witnesses, and the subject of the witness;- 3 the people of the pit were destroyed 4 the fire with its fuel, 5 while they themselves sat around it 6 and they were witnesses of what they did to the believers 7 And they did not take vengeance on them for aught except that they believed in Allah, the Mighty, the Praised, 8 Whose is the kingdom of the heavens and the earth; and Allah is a Witness of all things. 9 Indeed, those who have tortured the believing men and believing women and then have not repented will have the punishment of Hell, and they will have the punishment of the Burning Fire. 10 Surely for those who believe and do the right are gardens with rivers running by. That is the greatest success. 11 Surely thy Lord's assault is terrible. 12 It is He Who creates from the very beginning, and He can restore (life). 13 and He is the All-forgiving, the All-loving, 14 Master of the Honourable Throne. 15 and the Most Effective in His decision. 16 Hast thou received the story of the hosts, 17 the armies of Pharaoh and Thamud? 18 Nay! those who disbelieve are in (the act of) giving the lie to the truth. 19 However, God encompassed their activities. 20 But this is an honored Qur'an 21 in a guarded tablet. 22
