The Galaxies (Al-Burooj)
In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate
By the sky with its constellations, 1 And the promised day, 2 by the Witness and the witnessed, 3 Cursed were the companions of the trench 4 of fire fiercely burning [for all who have attained to faith]! 5 When they sat by it, 6 And they witnessed (all) that they were doing against the Believers. 7 whom they hated for no other reason than that they believed in God, the Almighty, the Praiseworthy, 8 Whose kingdom spreads over the heavens and the earth. God is witness over everything. 9 Those who persecute the believing men and believing women, and then do not repent, will surely suffer the punishment of Hell, and the torment of burning. 10 Indeed, those who have believed and done righteous deeds will have gardens beneath which rivers flow. That is the great attainment. 11 Stern indeed is your Lord's punishment. 12 Surely it is He who originates, and brings again, 13 And He is the Forgiving, the Loving, 14 Honorable Owner of the Throne, 15 Effecter of what He intends. 16 HAS IT ever come within thy ken, the story of the [sinful] hosts 17 Of Firon and Samood? 18 But they who disbelieve are in [persistent] denial, 19 And Allah is after them, has them surrounded. 20 In fact it (what they deny) is the Noble Qur’an. 21 in a guarded tablet. 22
