The Galaxies (Al-Burooj)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
I swear by the mansions of the stars, 1 And the promised day, 2 And the witness and the witnessed, 3 Perish the fellows of the ditch, 4 the makers of the fuel-stoked fire! 5 They sat by it 6 And they witnessed what they were doing against the believers (i.e. burning them). 7 And they ill-treated them for no other reason than that they believed in Allah, Exalted in Power, Worthy of all Praise!- 8 To whom belongs the dominion of the heavens and the earth. And Allah, over all things, is Witness. 9 Those who persecute the believers, men and women, and then have not repented, there awaits them the chastisement of Gehenna, and there awaits them the chastisement of the burning. 10 Surely (as for) those who believe and do good, they shall have gardens beneath which rivers flow, that is the great achievement. 11 Indeed, the vengeance of your Lord is severe. 12 Surely it is He who originates, and brings again, 13 And He alone is truly-forgiving, all-embracing in His love, 14 the Owner of the Throne, the Glorious One, 15 The great doer of what He will. 16 Has the story of the armies reached you, 17 of Pharaoh and of Thamood? 18 Nay, but the unbelievers still cry lies, 19 And Allah is after them, has them surrounded. 20 It is indeed a glorious Quran, 21 In a guarded tablet. 22
