The Galaxies (Al-Burooj)
Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
By the heaven, holding the big stars. 1 And by the Promised Day (i.e. the Day of Resurrection); 2 and by the witness (Muhammad) and that which is witnessed (the Day of Judgment), 3 may the people be condemned those who tortured (the believers) in ditches 4 The people of the fuelled blazing fire. 5 When they were sitting near it 6 fully conscious of what they are doing to the believers, 7 And they resented them not except because they believed in Allah, the Exalted in Might, the Praiseworthy, 8 [and] to whom the dominion of the heavens and the earth belongs. But God is witness unto everything! 9 Those who persecute the believers, men and women, and then have not repented, there awaits them the chastisement of Gehenna, and there awaits them the chastisement of the burning. 10 Those who believe, and do righteous deeds, for them await gardens underneath which rivers flow; that is the great triumph. 11 Surely thy Lord's assault is terrible. 12 Indeed it is He Who initiates and redoes. 13 And He is Oft-Forgiving, full of love (towards the pious who are real true believers of Islamic Monotheism), 14 in sublime almightiness enthroned, 15 He does what He intends (or wills). 16 Has the story reached thee, of the forces- 17 Of Pharaoh and the Thamud? 18 Nay, but those who disbelieve live in denial 19 While Allah encompasses them from behind. 20 Nay; but this is a glorious Qur'an, 21 In the Preserved Tablet. 22
