The Galaxies (Al-Burooj)
In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
By the sky with its constellations, 1 And by the Promised Day (i.e. the Day of Resurrection); 2 And by the witness and that whereunto he beareth testimony, 3 Perish the fellows of the ditch, 4 Of the fire (kept burning) with fuel, 5 while they sat around it, 6 and were themselves witnesses of what they did with the believers. 7 And they did not take vengeance on them for aught except that they believed in Allah, the Mighty, the Praised, 8 Him to Whom belongs the dominion of the heavens and the earth! And Allah is Witness to all things. 9 Those who persecuted the believing men and women and never repented, there is for them the punishment of Gehenna (Hell), and for them the punishment of the burning. 10 Verily, those who believe and do righteous good deeds, for them will be Gardens under which rivers flow (Paradise). That is the great success. 11 Stern indeed is your Lord's punishment. 12 Surely He it is Who originates and reproduces, 13 And He only is the Oft Forgiving, the Beloved of His bondmen. 14 Lord of the Throne, the Glorious, 15 Always doing whatever He wills. 16 Has the story of the hordes 17 Of the Fir'awn and the Thamud? 18 In fact the disbelievers are in denial. 19 although Allah surrounds them. 20 Nay, but it is a glorious Koran, 21 that exists in a well-guarded tablet. 22
