The Galaxies (Al-Burooj)
In the name of Allah, most benevolent, ever-merciful
By heaven of the constellations, 1 And by the Day promised, 2 and [of] Him who witnesses [all,] and [of] that unto which witness is borne [by Him]! 3 Perish the fellows of the ditch, 4 Of the fuel-fed fire, 5 while they themselves sat around it 6 And they were witnesses of what they did with the believers. 7 And they ill-treated them for no other reason than that they believed in Allah, Exalted in Power, Worthy of all Praise!- 8 to Whom belongs the dominion of the heavens and the earth. Allah witnesses everything. 9 Verily, those who put into trial the believing men and believing women (by torturing them and burning them), and then do not turn in repentance, (to Allah), will have the torment of Hell, and they will have the punishment of the burning Fire. 10 [But,] verily, they who attain to faith and do righteous deeds shall [in the life to come] have gardens through which running waters flow - that triumph most great! 11 Verily, (O Muhammad (Peace be upon him)) the Grip (Punishment) of your Lord is severe. 12 Surely it is He who originates, and brings again, 13 And He is the Forgiving, the Loving, 14 Lord of the Throne, the Glorious, 15 the Executor of what He wills. 16 Has the story reached you of the hosts, 17 Of the Fir'awn and the Thamud? 18 Nay, but the unbelievers still cry lies, 19 Whereas Allah is, from behind them, Encompassing. 20 What is revealed to you is certainly a glorious Quran 21 (Preserved) on the guarded tablet. 22
