The All High (Al-A'alaa)
In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate
۞ GLORIFY THE NAME of your Lord, most high, 1 who creates [every thing,] and thereupon forms it in accordance with what it is meant to be, 2 Who hath ordained laws. And granted guidance; 3 who brings forth green pasture, 4 then turns it into black stubble. 5 WE SHALL teach thee, and thou wilt not forget [aught of what thou art taught,] 6 Save that which Allah may will. Verily He knoweth the public and that which is hidden. 7 We shall facilitate for you the Easy Way. 8 So render good counsel if good counsel will avail. 9 The reminder will be received by him who fears (Allah), 10 And the wretched shunneth it. 11 Who shall enter the great fire; 12 where he will neither die nor live. 13 He indeed hath attained bliss who hath cleansed himself, 14 remembering his Lord's name and praying. 15 Nay, but you prefer the present life; 16 whereas the Hereafter is better and more enduring. 17 Surely this is in the ancient scrolls, 18 the scrolls of Abraham and Moses. 19
