The All High (Al-A'alaa)
19 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Rolling (Al-Takweer) before The Night (Al-Layl)
In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful
۞ Praise the name of thy Lord the Most High, 1 Who hath created and then proportioned, 2 And Who has measured (preordainments for each and everything even to be blessed or wretched); then guided (i.e. showed mankind the right as well as wrong paths, and guided the animals to pasture); 3 who brings forth the pastures, 4 then turns it into black stubble. 5 We shall teach you (the Quran) and you will not forget it 6 Save that which Allah willeth. Lo! He knoweth the disclosed and that which still is hidden; 7 And We will ease you toward ease. 8 Therefore do remind, surely reminding does profit. 9 Those who have fear of God will benefit 10 but aloof from it will remain that most hapless wretch 11 The one who will enter the biggest fire. 12 wherein they will neither live nor die. 13 But those will prosper who purify themselves, 14 And who mentioned the name of his Lord, then offered prayer. 15 But you prefer the present life, 16 and the world to come is better, and more enduring. 17 Verily! This is in the former Scriptures, 18 the Scrolls of Abraham and Moses. 19
True are the words of God the Almighty.
