The All High (Al-A'alaa)
In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful
۞ Proclaim the Purity of your Lord, the Supreme. 1 Who creates and proportions, 2 Who measureth, then guideth; 3 Who brought forth the pasture, 4 then caused it to wither away. 5 [O Prophet!] We shall make you recite the Quran so that you will not forget any of it -- 6 save what God wills; surely He knows what is spoken aloud and what is hidden. 7 We shall take you slowly towards ease. 8 Wherefore admonish thou; admonition hath surely profited, 9 The admonition will be received by those who fear (Allah): 10 But it will be avoided by those most unfortunate ones, 11 Who shall enter the great fire; 12 Wherein he will neither die (to be in rest) nor live (a good living). 13 He who purifies himself, 14 remembering his Lord's name and praying. 15 Nay! you prefer the life of this world, 16 Whereas the Hereafter is better and everlasting. 17 Lo! This is in the former scrolls. 18 The Scriptures of Ibrahim (Abraham) and Musa (Moses). 19
