The All High (Al-A'alaa)
In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful
۞ Glorify the name of your Lord, the Most High, 1 who has created and shaped, 2 Who hath ordained laws. And granted guidance; 3 It is He who has caused the grass to grow, 4 and then made it into a blackish straw. 5 We shall make thee read (O Muhammad) so that thou shalt not forget 6 unless God wills it to be otherwise. He knows all that is made public and all that remains hidden. 7 And We shall make easy for you (O Muhammad (Peace be upon him)) the easy way (i.e. the doing of righteous deeds). 8 Therefore remind, if the Reminder benefits, 9 Admonished is he indeed who feareth, 10 And the wretched shunneth it. 11 He who shall roast into the Great Fire, 12 Neither dying therein nor living. 13 He indeed shall be successful who purifies himself, 14 And recites the name of his Lord and serves with devotion. 15 But ye prefer the life of the world 16 Although the Hereafter is better and more lasting. 17 This is surely in the earlier Books, 18 the Scrolls of Abraham and Moses. 19
