The All High (Al-A'alaa)
In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
۞ Glorify the name of thy Guardian-Lord Most High, 1 Who has created (everything), and then proportioned it; 2 and who determines the nature [of all that exists,] and thereupon guides it [towards its fulfilment,] 3 And Who brings forth herbage, 4 And then makes it dark stubble. 5 We will make you recite so you shall not forget, 6 unless God wills it to be otherwise. He knows all that is made public and all that remains hidden. 7 We shall ease you to the easy. 8 Therefore give admonition in case the admonition profits (the hearer). 9 and he who fears shall remember, 10 And the most wicked will stay away from it. 11 he who [in the life to come] shall have to endure the great fire 12 wherein he will neither die nor remain alive. 13 Prosperous is he who has cleansed himself, 14 remembering his Lord's name and praying. 15 But ye prefer the life of the world 16 Though the life to come is better and abiding. 17 This, indeed, was in the ancient Scrolls, 18 the Scriptures of Abraham and Moses. 19
