Overwhelming (Al-Ghaasheyah)

In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
HAS THERE COME unto thee the tiding of the Overshadowing Event? 1 Some faces that Day shall be downcast with fear, 2 labouring, toilworn, 3 they shall burn in a Scorching Fire; 4 and will be made to drink from a fiercely boiling spring. 5 no food for them but cactus thorn 6 Which will neither nourish nor avail against hunger. 7 (Whereas other) faces on that Day will be joyful, 8 well-pleased with [the fruit of] their striving, 9 in a garden sublime, 10 Where they hear no idle speech, 11 In it there shall be a flowing spring, 12 Therein will be thrones raised high, 13 And goblets ready placed! 14 And cushions lined up 15 And carpets ready spread, 16 Do they not look at the Camels, how they are made?- 17 And the sky: how it was raised high? 18 and how the mountains were firmly fixed? 19 And the earth, how it is made a vast expanse? 20 So remind, [O Muhammad]; you are only a reminder. 21 You are not a watcher over them; 22 Except whoever turns away and disbelieves – 23 God shall chastise him with the greatest chastisement. 24 To Us is surely their returning; 25 Then, surely, it is for Us to call them to account. 26

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
