Overwhelming (Al-Ghaasheyah)
26 verses, revealed in Mecca after Drivers of the Winds (Al-Dhaareyaat) before The Cave (Al-Kahf)
In the name of Allah, the Merciful, the Compassionate
Hath there come unto thee the story of the Enveloping Event? 1 Many faces will be contrite on that day, 2 Labouring (hard), weary,- 3 roasting at a scorching fire, 4 watered at a boiling fountain, 5 They will have no food other than bitter and thorny fruit 6 Which shall neither nourish nor avail against hunger. 7 In that day other faces will be calm, 8 Well-pleased because of their striving, 9 They will be in a lofty Garden 10 Where they shall neither hear harmful speech nor falsehood, 11 In it is a flowing spring. 12 And within it are couches placed on high, 13 And cups set at hand. 14 And cushions set in a row, 15 and outspread carpets. 16 Do they not look at the camels, how they are created? 17 And at the sky, how it is raised aloft? 18 how the mountains were hoisted, 19 And at the Earth, how it is spread out? 20 Therefore advise; indeed you are a proclaimer of advice. (The Holy Prophet is a Remembrance from Allah.) 21 and are not invested with the authority to compel them. 22 But whoso is averse and disbelieveth, 23 Allah will chastise him with the most terrible chastisement. 24 To Us they will all return. 25 and then it is for Us to call them to account. 26

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
