Overwhelming (Al-Ghaasheyah)
26 verses, revealed in Mecca after Drivers of the Winds (Al-Dhaareyaat) before The Cave (Al-Kahf)
In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful
Hast thou received the story of the Enveloper? 1 Some faces that Day shall be downcast with fear, 2 Labouring, striving hard. 3 they shall enter a burning Fire 4 that is fueled from a tremendously hot fountain, 5 There is no food for them except thorns of fire. 6 which neither sustains, nor satisfy hunger. 7 Faces on that Day shall be delighted, 8 With their effort [they are] satisfied 9 in a sublime Garden, 10 Where they hear no idle speech, 11 Therein will be a running spring, 12 raised couches, 13 And drinking-cups ready placed, 14 And cushions lined up 15 And carpets spread around. 16 What, do they not consider how the camel was created, 17 And at the sky - how it is raised? 18 and on the mountains, how they are firmly set up, 19 And at the earth, how it is outspread? 20 So render good counsel, for you are simply required to counsel, 21 Thou art not one to manage (men's) affairs. 22 But whosoever will turn back and disbelieve 23 In which case he will be punished by God with the severest punishment. 24 Indeed, to Us they shall return, 25 Then verily on Us is their reckoning. 26
Allah Almighty has spoken the truth.

قراءة القرآن مترجماً إلى الإنجليزية أو أية لغة أخرى أشبه بقراءة كتب التفسير من قراءة ترجمات حرفية.
Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.
