The Sun (Al-Shams)
15 verses, revealed in Mecca after Destiny (Al-Qadr) before The Galaxies (Al-Burooj)
In the name of Allah, most benevolent, ever-merciful
By the sun and its midmorning, 1 and by the moon as it follows it, 2 And the day when it shows it, 3 By the Night as it conceals it; 4 And by oath of the heaven and by oath of Him Who made it. 5 By the Earth and its (wide) expanse: 6 By the soul and Him Who propertioned it, 7 And inspired it (with conscience of) what is wrong for it and (what is) right for it. 8 He will indeed be successful who purifies it, 9 And indeed failed is the one who covered it in sin. 10 Samood gave the lie (to the truth) in their inordinacy, 11 When the most unfortunate of them broke forth with 12 then the Messenger of God said to them, 'The She-camel of God; let her drink!' 13 But they denied him and hamstrung her. So their Lord brought down upon them destruction for their sin and made it equal [upon all of them]. 14 He does not fear the consequence. 15
True are the words of Allah the Almighty.

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
