The Night (Al-Layl)
21 verses, revealed in Mecca after The All High (Al-A'alaa) before Dawn (Al-Fajr)
In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate
By the Night as it conceals (the light); 1 and by the day as it appears radiantly, 2 And by Who created the male and female, 3 Indeed, your efforts are diverse. 4 As for one who gives [to others] and fears [God], 5 and believes in the truth of the ultimate good 6 So We will very soon provide him ease. 7 but for him that is a miser, and sufficed, 8 and rejects what is right, 9 Unto him therefore We shall Indeed make easy the path to hardship. 10 When he falls (into Hell), his wealth will not help him. 11 Verily We take upon Ourselves to guide, 12 And lo! unto Us belong the latter portion and the former. 13 and so I warn you of the raging fire 14 None except the most wicked will enter it. 15 who rejected the Truth, calling it falsehood and turned his back on it. 16 And away from it shall be kept the one who guards most (against evil), 17 Who giveth away his substance that he may be cleansed, 18 not as payment for any favours that he received, 19 but only out of a longing for the countenance of his Sustainer, the All-Highest: 20 and he shall surely be satisfied. 21
Almighty Allah's Truth.
