The Night (Al-Layl)
21 verses, revealed in Mecca after The All High (Al-A'alaa) before Dawn (Al-Fajr)
In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful
CONSIDER the night as it veils [the earth] in darkness, 1 and by the day when it unveils. 2 Consider the creation of the male and the female! 3 Certainly, your efforts and deeds are diverse (different in aims and purposes); 4 As for him who gives and is godfearing 5 And testifieth to the Good, 6 observe piety, and believe in receiving rewards from God. 7 But he who does not give and is unconcerned, 8 And denies the best [reward], 9 We will make smooth for him the path for evil; 10 nor will his wealth profit him when he falls [into the pit]. 11 Indeed guiding is upon Us. 12 And indeed, to Us belongs the Hereafter and the first [life]. 13 Therefore I warn you of the fire that flames: 14 None except the most wicked will enter it. 15 Who denies and turns away. 16 But the righteous one will avoid it - 17 He who gives his wealth to be purified, 18 and confers no favour on any man for recompense, 19 except the pleasure of their Lord, the Most High 20 And he is going to be satisfied. 21
Almighty God's Truth.
