Al-Duhaa

The Forenoon (Al-Duhaa)

11 verses, revealed in Mecca after Dawn (Al-Fajr) before Cooling the Temper (Al-Sharrhh)

In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful

CONSIDER the bright morning hours, 1 and by the night when it darkens, 2 your Lord has not forsaken you (Prophet Muhammad), nor does He hate you. 3 And indeed the Hereafter is better for you than the present (life of this world). 4 soon you will be gratified with what your Lord will give you. 5 Did He not find you as an orphan and give you shelter? 6 Did He not find you perplexed, and show you the way? 7 Did He not find you in want, and make you free from want? 8 So do not oppress the orphan, 9 And as for the petitioner, do not repel [him]. 10 And as for the favor of your Lord, do announce (it). 11

Allah Almighty has spoken the truth.
