Al-Duhaa

The Forenoon (Al-Duhaa)

11 verses, revealed in Mecca after Dawn (Al-Fajr) before Cooling the Temper (Al-Sharrhh)

In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful

By the midmorning, 1 And by the Night when it is still,- 2 Your Lord has not forsaken you nor does He dislike you! 3 and the Hereafter will indeed be better for you than the present life; 4 And your Lord is going to give you, and you will be satisfied. 5 Did He not find you an orphan and give you shelter? 6 Did He not find thee wandering and direct (thee)? 7 Did He not find thee destitute and enrich (thee)? 8 So as for the orphan, do not oppress [him]. 9 and as for the beggar, scold him not; 10 And proclaim the Grace of your Lord (i.e. the Prophethood and all other Graces). 11

True are the words of Allah the Almighty.
