The Forenoon (Al-Duhaa)
In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate
By the glorious morning light; 1 By the night when it darkeneth, 2 Your Lord has not forsaken you, nor has He become displeased, 3 And surely what comes after is better for you than that which has gone before. 4 And soon will thy Guardian-Lord give thee (that wherewith) thou shalt be well-pleased. 5 Did He not find you an orphan and then gave you shelter? 6 And find you lost (that is, unrecognized by men) and guide (them to you)? 7 And He found you poor and made [you] self-sufficient. 8 So do not oppress the orphan, 9 and chide not him who asks, 10 and as for thy Lord's blessing, declare it. 11
