Al-Duhaa

The Forenoon (Al-Duhaa)

11 verses, revealed in Mecca after Dawn (Al-Fajr) before Cooling the Temper (Al-Sharrhh)

In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful

CONSIDER the bright morning hours, 1 and by the night when it covers the world with peace: 2 your Lord has not forsaken you, nor is He displeased with you, 3 and the Hereafter will indeed be better for you than the present life; 4 Your Lord will give you, and you will be satisfied. 5 Did He not find you as an orphan and give you shelter? 6 And He found you unaware (of the Quran, its legal laws, and Prophethood, etc.) and guided you? 7 Did He not find thee needy, and suffice thee? 8 Therefore, the orphan shalt thou never wrong, 9 Therefor the beggar drive not away, 10 and proclaim the bounties of your Lord. 11

True are the words of God the Almighty.
