The Forenoon (Al-Duhaa)
In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful
By the Glorious Morning Light, 1 and by the night when it covers the world with peace: 2 (O Prophet), your Lord has neither forsaken you, nor is He displeased. 3 And surely what comes after is better for you than that which has gone before. 4 And verily, your Lord will give you (all i.e. good) so that you shall be well-pleased. 5 Did He not find you an orphan and give you shelter? 6 Did He not find you wandering, and give you guidance? 7 Did He not find thee needy, and suffice thee? 8 Therefore do not oppress the orphan. 9 And repulse not the beggar; 10 But tell of the favors of your Lord! 11
