The Fig (Al-Teen)
In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful
I CALL TO witness the Fig and the Olive, 1 and by Mount Sinai, 2 and this safe country (Mecca)! 3 We have indeed created man in the best of moulds, 4 Thereafter We cause him to return to the lowest of the low, 5 except the righteously striving believers who will have a never ending reward. 6 What, then, [O man,] could henceforth cause thee to give the lie to this moral law? 7 Is not Allah the Greatest of the rulers? 8
