The Embryo (Al-Alaq)
In the name of Allah, most benevolent, ever-merciful
Proclaim! (or read!) in the name of thy Lord and Cherisher, Who created- 1 created man from a clot [of blood]. 2 Read! And your Lord is the Most Generous, 3 Who taught by the pen, 4 The One Who taught man all what he did not know. 5 Despite this, the human being still tends to rebel 6 that he sees himself sufficed. 7 Verily unto thy Lord is the return. 8 Did you see him who forbids 9 A slave (Muhammad (Peace be upon him)) when he prays? 10 Do you think he is rightly guided, 11 or bade to godfearing -- 12 What will happen if the prohibiting rejects the Truth and turns away from it!? 13 Knows he not that Allah does see (what he does)? 14 No indeed; surely, if he gives not over, We shall seize him by the forelock, 15 a lying, sinful forelock. 16 Then let him call his associates; 17 We too would summon the braves of the army. 18 Beware! Do not obey him, but bow in adoration and draw near (to your Lord). ۩ 19
God the Almighty always says the truth.
