The Embryo (Al-Alaq)
In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful
Read with the name of your Lord Who created, 1 He created man from a clot of blood. 2 Read! And your Lord is the Most Generous, 3 Who taught (to write) with the pen 4 Taught man that which he knew not. 5 Despite this, the human being still tends to rebel 6 In that he looketh upon himself as self-sufficient. 7 Indeed, to your Lord is the return. 8 Have you seen him who forbids 9 a servant [of God] from praying? 10 What will happen if the praying person is rightly guided 11 or orders piety? 12 Have you thought that if he denies and turns away, 13 Is he then unaware that Allah seeth? 14 Nay, but if he cease not We will seize him by the forelock - 15 A lying, sinning forelock. 16 Let him call on his associates for help 17 We too would summon the braves of the army. 18 By no means! Obey not thou him. Continue to adore, and continue to draw nigh. ۩ 19
Allah the Almighty always says the truth.
