The Embryo (Al-Alaq)
In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
(Muhammad), read in the name of your Lord who created (all things). 1 He created man from a clot of blood. 2 Recite: And thy Lord is the Most Generous, 3 who has taught [man] the use of the pen 4 Has taught man that which he knew not. 5 Despite this, the human being still tends to rebel 6 As he bethinkest himself selfsufficient. 7 Verily unto thy Lord is the return. 8 HAST THOU ever considered him who tries to prevent 9 A servant when he prays? 10 Hast thou seen if he relieth on the guidance (of Allah) 11 or if he commands others to maintain piety!? 12 Did you consider: what if he gives the lie (to the Truth) and turns away (from it)? 13 Does he not know that God observes all things? 14 Nay, but if he cease not We will seize him by the forelock - 15 A lying, sinful forehead. 16 Then let him call his associates; 17 We, will call the Zabania (the harsh angels of Hell). 18 (Muhammad), never yield to him! Prostrate yourself and try to come closer to God. ۩ 19
Allah Almighty has spoken the truth.
