The Embryo (Al-Alaq)
In the name of Allah, the Merciful, the Compassionate
(Muhammad), read in the name of your Lord who created (all things). 1 created Man of a blood-clot. 2 Read, for your Lord is most beneficent, 3 Who has taught (the writing) by the pen [the first person to write was Prophet Idrees (Enoch)]. 4 taught man what he did not know. 5 No! [But] indeed, man transgresses 6 As he considers himself independent! 7 Lo! unto thy Lord is the return. 8 Have you seen him who restrains 9 A servant when he prays? 10 Have you thought, if he had been on guidance 11 Or enjoins Righteousness? 12 Did you consider: what if he gives the lie (to the Truth) and turns away (from it)? 13 Does he not know that Allah sees? 14 Let him beware! If he does not desist, We will drag him by the forelock -- 15 The lying, sinful forelock - 16 So let him summon his helpmates; 17 We will call on the angels of punishment (to deal with him)! 18 No, not at all. Never obey him. But prostrate yourself and become nigh (to your Lord). ۩ 19
Allah Almighty has spoken the truth.
