The Galloppers (Al-Aadeyaat)

11 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Afternoon (Al-'Asr) before Bounty (Al-Kawthar)

Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful

I swear by the runners breathing pantingly, 1 Striking sparks of fire 2 while running during a raid at dawn, 3 And raise the dust in clouds the while, 4 thereby storming [blindly] into any host! 5 Indeed mankind, to his Lord, is ungrateful. 6 and he himself is a witness to that, 7 And verily in the love of wealth he is vehement, 8 ۞ Does he not know,- when that which is in the graves is scattered abroad 9 And that within the breasts is obtained, 10 On that day their Lord surely knows all about them! 11

True are the words of God the Almighty.
