The Shocker (Al-Qaare'ah)
11 verses, revealed in Mecca after Quraish (Quraish) before Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah)
In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful
The terrible calamity! 1 What is the striking (Hour)? 2 And what do you know what the Calamity is? 3 [It will occur] on the Day when men will be like moths swarming in confusion, 4 And the mountains will become as carded wool. 5 Then as for one whose scales are heavy [with good deeds], 6 He is therefore in the desired bliss. 7 But as for him whose scales are light, 8 He will have his home in Hawiyah (pit, i.e. Hell). 9 Would that you knew what hawiya his? 10 A Fire vehemently hot! 11
True are the words of Allah the Almighty.
