Hoarding (Al-Takaathur)

8 verses, revealed in Mecca after Bounty (Al-Kawthar) before Charity (Al-Maa'oon)

In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful

The mutual rivalry for piling up of worldly things diverts you, 1 Until ye come to the graves. 2 Nay, in time you will come to understand! 3 nay, again, you shall soon come to know. 4 Nay, would that you knew with certainty of knowledge (what your attitude will lead to, you would never have acted the way you do). 5 Indeed you will see hell. 6 Again, you shall surely see it with the eye of certainty 7 Then, on that Day, ye shall surely be asked of the delights. 8

Allah Almighty has spoken the truth.
