Al-Takaathur
Hoarding (Al-Takaathur)
8 verses, revealed in Mecca after Bounty (Al-Kawthar) before Charity (Al-Maa'oon)
In the name of Allah, the Merciful, the Compassionate
Competition in [worldly] increase diverts you 1 until you reach your graves. 2 Nay, you will soon come to know; 3 Again, no indeed; but soon you shall know. 4 You will certainly have the knowledge of your deeds beyond all doubt. 5 Verily, You shall see the blazing Fire (Hell)! 6 Then you will see it with the eye of certainty. 7 Then, on that Day, you will be called to account for all the bounties you enjoyed. 8
True are the words of Allah the Almighty.
