Hoarding (Al-Takaathur)

8 verses, revealed in Mecca after Bounty (Al-Kawthar) before Charity (Al-Maa'oon)

In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful

The craving for excess wealth kept you people neglectful. 1 till you reached the grave. 2 But no, indeed, you shall soon know. 3 But you will soon come to know. 4 Lo! would that ye knew now with the surety of knowledge! 5 You will surely see the Hellfire. 6 Again, you shall surely see it with the eye of certainty 7 On that Day, you shall be questioned about the pleasures. 8

Allah Almighty has spoken the truth.
