The Backbiter (Al-Hummazah)

9 verses, revealed in Mecca after Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah) before Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)

In the name of Allah, most benevolent, ever-merciful

Woe to every slanderer, defamer, 1 who amasses wealth, counting it over, 2 He thinketh that his wealth will render him immortal. 3 Nay, he shall be thrown into the Crusher. 4 And what shall make thee know that which the Crushing Fire is? 5 It is the fire of Allah, [eternally] fueled, 6 Which mounts directed at the hearts. 7 It will engulf them. 8 In extending columns. 9

True are the words of God the Almighty.
