The Backbiter (Al-Hummazah)

9 verses, revealed in Mecca after Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah) before Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)

In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful

WOE TO EVERY slanderer, back-biter, 1 Who amasses wealth and considers it a provision (against mishap); 2 He thinketh that his wealth will render him immortal. 3 Nay, he shall be thrown into the Crusher. 4 And what will make you know what the crushing Fire is? 5 It is the fire kindled by Allah, 6 Reaching right into the hearts of men, 7 Surely it shall be closed over upon them, 8 In extended columns. 9

True are the words of Allah the Almighty.
