The Backbiter (Al-Hummazah)

9 verses, revealed in Mecca after Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah) before Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)

In the name of God, The Most Gracious, The Dispenser of Grace

Ruin is for every open slanderer, backbiter. 1 who amasses wealth and counts it, 2 thinking his wealth will render him immortal! 3 Nay! he shall most certainly be hurled into the crushing disaster, 4 And what shall make thee know that which the Crushing Fire is? 5 The fire of Allah, kindled, 6 roaring over the hearts 7 Indeed it will be shut over them. 8 in endless columns! 9

True are the words of Allah the Almighty.
