The Backbiter (Al-Hummazah)

9 verses, revealed in Mecca after Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah) before Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)

In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful

Woe to every slanderer and backbiter 1 who amasses wealth and counts it, 2 Thinking that his wealth would make him last for ever! 3 Never! He will certainly be thrown into the Crushing One. 4 And what do you know what the Crusher is? 5 A fire kindled by God, 6 Reaching right into the hearts of men, 7 Lo! it is closed in on them 8 In extended columns. 9

God Almighty has spoken the truth.
