Al-Baqarah 5 of 40

O children of Israel, remember the favours I bestowed on you. So keep your pledge to Me, and I will mine to you, and be fearful of Me, 40 And believe in that which I have sent down confirming that which is with you, and be not the first to disbelieve therein, and barter not My revelations for a small price, and Me alone shall ye fear. 41 And confound not the truth with falsehood, nor hide the truth while ye know. 42 And keep up prayer and pay the poor-rate and bow down with those who bow down. 43 ۞ Command ye mankind to piety and forget yourselves, the while ye read the Book! Understand then ye not! 44 And seek aid in steadfast patience and prayer: and this, indeed, is a hard thing for all but the humble in spirit, 45 Who bear in mind the certainty that they are to meet their Lord, and that they are to return to Him. 46
