Al-Taareq
The Comet (Al-Taareq)
17 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Town (Al-Balad) before The Moon (Al-Qamar)
In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful
By heaven and the night-star! 1 What could let you know what the nightly comer is! 2 (It is) the star of piercing brightness; 3 [for] no human being has been left unguarded. 4 Let the human reflect of what he is created. 5 He was created of a gushing fluid, 6 That is issued from between the backs and the ribs. 7 Indeed Allah is Able to return him. 8 The Day that (all) things secret will be tested, 9 when he will be helpless, with no supporter. 10 By oath of the sky from which comes down the rain. 11 and the replenishing earth, 12 Indeed, the Qur'an is a decisive statement, 13 And it is no joke. 14 They are devising guile, 15 And I plot a plot (against them). 16 So give a respite to the disbelievers. Deal you gently with them for a while. 17
True are the words of Allah the Almighty.
