The News (Al-Naba')
40 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Heights (Al-Ma'aarej) before The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat)
Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
۞ What are they asking each other about? 1 About the awesome tidings [of resurrection] 2 About which they cannot agree. 3 Nay! they shall soon come to know 4 Again, indeed, they shall know! 5 Have We not made the earth as a place to rest 6 And the mountains as pegs? 7 We created you in pairs, 8 and We appointed your sleep for a rest; 9 made the night as a covering, 10 And have appointed the day for livelihood. 11 And We have built above you seven strong (heavens), 12 (the sun) as a shining torch 13 and have sent down from the clouds, pouring rain 14 that We may bring forth with it grain, plants 15 and gardens dense with follage. 16 Verily the Day of Sorting out is a thing appointed, 17 It is a Day whereon the trumpet will be blown, and ye will come in multitudes. 18 and heaven is opened, and become gates, 19 and when the mountains are made to vanish as if they had been a mirage. 20 Certainly Hell lies in wait, 21 The destination of the rebellious. 22 Living therein for ages. 23 They will not feel cold nor taste any drink 24 except boiling water and pus 25 An appropriate recompense. 26 for they never expected to be called to account, 27 and they rejected outright Our signs; 28 And everything We have recorded in a book. 29 Therefore taste it now We shall not increase anything for you except the punishment. 30

Notes and Instructions
ColorfulQuran.com displays pages in one of three Arabic fonts. Each may appear with a one-third chance, adding more diversity to the already diverse colors. And the words remain unchanged forever. ColorfulQuran.com will have more beautiful fonts soon, God willing.
قراءة القرآن مترجماً إلى الإنجليزية أو أية لغة أخرى أشبه بقراءة كتب التفسير من قراءة ترجمات حرفية.
Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.
