Al-Takweer
The Rolling (Al-Takweer)
29 verses, revealed in Mecca after Thorns (Al-Masad) before The All High (Al-A'alaa)
In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful
When the sun shall be darkened, 1 When the stars fall, losing their lustre; 2 And when the mountains are made to pass away, 3 And when the camels are left untended, 4 the wild beasts are herded together, 5 the oceans are brought to a boil, 6 When souls are reunited (with the bodies) 7 And the little girl buried alive is asked 8 for what crime she was slain, 9 when the scrolls shall be unrolled, 10 And when the heaven is torn away. 11 when Hell shall be set blazing, 12 And when Paradise is brought near, 13 [on that Day] every human being will come to know what he has prepared [for himself]. 14 I swear by the receding stars, 15 orbiting, disappearing; 16 and by the night as it recedes, 17 and brightening morning, 18 truly this is the word of a noble Messenger 19 Full of power, well-established (in position) with the Lord and Master of the Throne, 20 The one who is obeyed, and trustworthy. (Other angels obey angel Jibreel). 21 And (O people!) your companion is not one possessed; 22 he truly saw him on the clear horizon; 23 He is not chary of making public what is unknown. 24 Nor is this the utterance of a devil worthy to be stoned. 25 Whither then go ye? 26 It is nothing but Good Counsel for everyone in the world, 27 To whomsoever among you who wills to walk straight, 28 And you will not, unless (it be) that Allah wills, the Lord of the 'Alamin (mankind, jinns and all that exists). 29
God Almighty has spoken the truth.
